At Lively, I focus on building systems that streamline benefits management and payments processing, delivering both highly reliable infrastructure and innovative AI-driven solutions.

I lead efforts in Software Development Automation, using AI agents to automate the full software lifecycle: mining business intelligence, gathering context, defining requirements, designing systems, implementing, testing, reviewing, and deploying solutions. These initiatives have accelerated development cycles while improving consistency and quality.

In AI engineering, I build and deploy AI agents leveraging modern technologies including VectorDB + RAG for knowledge bases, Vercel AI SDK, DeepEval, OpenAI Responses API, AWS Bedrock, and real-time voice APIs. These agents enhance both internal workflows and customer-facing applications.

I also lead the integration of payments processing systems, including Automated Clearing House (ACH) and card-based transactions, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable payment operations.

Software Engineer / Technical Lead — Financial Technology

Worked across core fintech domains including Lending (mortgage, personal loans, student loan refinance), Banking, Payments, Investing, and Identity. Designed and operated low-latency, highly available distributed systems supporting customer-facing and internal platforms.

Built JVM-based Spring Boot microservices deployed on Kubernetes, leveraging Kafka, Redis, SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and NoSQL to support scalable, event-driven architectures.

Applied machine learning to risk mitigation and decisioning, developing models with scikit-learn and deploying via AWS SageMaker.

Advanced engineering quality through CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and platform engineering on AWS.

Contributed across the stack with reactive frontend applications built using React, TypeScript, Redux, paired with reactive backends leveraging WebFlux.

Hit the ground running with a partially implemented data collection tool. The tool is purposed for gathering files, emails, email attachments, etcetera that are found to be relevant from a variety of input locations. Target clientele are lawyers looking to automate the discovery process, however other types of clientele have shown interest. I was contracted to implement highly concurrent processing and advanced document import systems (Email Datastore input, Optical Character Recognition, to name a few) to increase speed and breadth of search.
