Used by Walmart, Geico, Berkshire, Blackstone and backed by Sequoia, ICONIQ, Temasek — At Twin I worked on iOS, Android, and iOT-enabled health platforms. Twin patented the virtual CGM to help diagnosis and prevent chronic disease.
A highlight included receiving the Engineering Star award nominated by the CTO and peers in July 2021 for engineering excellence.
I focused on leveraging patented health systems to build mobile apps that enhanced user retention, optimized data visualizations, and integrated highly complex health sensors.
Key accomplishments include:
• Revamping the iOS UI for real-time health data from wearables and sensors.
• Partnering with the ML team to develop a predictive blood glucose monitoring platform, reducing operational costs while improving engagement and patient satisfaction.
• Re-architecting dynamic frameworks for CGM devices, Garmin SDK, and Bluetooth integrations, resulting in an increase in adoption rates for sensor data usage.
• Spearheading the development of a HIPAA-compliant communication system that enabled seamless interactions between doctors and patients via audio and video calls, enhancing efficiency and data security.
• Driving cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and clinical teams to deliver features used by thousands of patients.

During my time at Strava as a Software Engineer (2017-2020), I had the opportunity to work on several impactful projects across the iOS platform. I contributed to key business initiatives and technical efforts that resulted in 1+ billion activities logged and 2 million sign-ups per month on the platform.
• Server-Driven UI Framework: Played a significant role in developing a server-driven UI system that empowered Strava to dynamically deliver content and features. This approach improved the flexibility and scalability of iOS app updates, directly driving key revenue-generating opportunities.
• Recording Infrastructure & Upload Reliability: I supported a rebuilt native activity recording infrastructure, utilizing C-Swift-SQL storage for .fit file encoding. My work reduced inaccurate uploads, significantly improving the reliability of the app’s core functionality.
• Launch Performance Optimization: Supported performance improvements that reduced iOS app startup times, increasing the percentage of users experiencing load times under 2 seconds. This optimization was essential in improving overall user engagement.
• In-App Subscriptions & A/B Testing: Contributed to a 40% increase in annual memberships by streamlining subscription code and supporting extensive A/B experimentation. This work reduced churn, aligning with Strava’s revenue growth goals for 2019/2020.
• Swift Adoption & Platform Modernization: Led efforts to modernize the iOS codebase by driving Swift adoption across the team and introducing technologies like Apple Watch integration, Siri Shortcuts, and performance tracing. Additionally, I authored internal documentation to establish coding standards and improve team efficiency.
My work at Strava allowed me to blend technical execution with business impact, helping to build features that users love while ensuring the iOS platform could scale and perform effectively.
