Created a WCF that can get the row of the SQL table and convert it to a fixed width flat file row to pass back to the legacy system so it can updated the legacy tables. Created the security system including tables/maintenance app/ DLL to apply to web pages so certain users could only see certain sections of the page or could updated it/not update it based on permissions grabbing the users/groups from Active Directory. Created a system based on Service Oriented Architecture so that multiple applications could use the same code to do the same thing, so we could switch some of the legacy applications to use the same code as the .Net applications. Worked with Automated Broker Interface(ABI) which is the standard for communicating electronically with U.S. customs. This allowed us to send information to U.S. customs and we could either update their database or receive information in their database to either display to the user or update our database with. Everything to create a dynamic environment for the user making sure the customer got exactly what they wanted. Creating reports for the accounting department for one of our clients. Some of these were brand new reports and others were old reports that were in Microsoft Access and I took them and changed them to SQL stored procedures and I would optimize them so they would be a lot faster.
