Spaceship is an Australian fintech startup with two products in market, a pension fund and managed investment app (Voyager), that has over $1B Funds under Management. Spaceship is backed by some of the world's most prestigious investors including Sequoia Capital, Horizons Ventures, NEA and Valar Ventures.
As Director of Engineering I was responsible for:
•Oversight of key business deliverables and effective communication across all stakeholders.
•Implementing project and product management process initiatives across all teams in the business.
•People management, including hiring processes and building a team from 5 to 12.
•Establishing a DevOps team to transition Spaceship's infrastructure and CI/CD to Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform.
•Implementing Scrum processes and restructuring the engineering team into sub-teams.
