Lecturer covering software engineering principles, testing methodologies, and career development. Acting project manager for six(6) student startups ensuring goals of all stakeholders are met and scoped appropriately for success. ### Staff Software Engineer @ Marvell Semiconductor Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | Santa Clara, CA Decreased firmware test turnaround time from days to hours as a result of building a software engineering team of 4 focusing on tools Reduced multi-day iterative development times by half by developing customer-facing automated testing tool used to manage SoC tests ### Engineering Manager @ Marvell Semiconductor Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | Santa Clara, CA Worked with executive leadership to scope, propose, and successfully get buy-in for investing in global test infrastructure platform Dramatically increased team and individual performance through mentorship, goal-setting, and 1:1s within test infrastructure team Architected test infrastructure platform resulting in doubled resource utilization of SoC emulation resources to 95% ### Senior Software Engineer @ Marvell Semiconductor Jan 2013 – Jan 2016 | Santa Clara, CA Directed 10 international team members and contract engineers ensuring successful global launch of β€œdriver-less” cloud printing product Reverse-engineered host printer drivers to enable cloud printing support for over 800 legacy printer models on host systems and embedded hardware devices compatible with Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint, and HP ePrint Implemented Javascript-based hybrid multi-platform Host Print SDK reducing development and testing iteration time internally and with OEM customers by 40%. Developed and presented custom demo solutions for marketing team and customers showcasing products. ### Software Engineer @ Marvell Semiconductor Jan 2010 – Jan 2013 | Aliso Viejo, CA Developed custom dual-layer printer driver for leading-edge high-performance/high-resolution inkjet printer with 60 page-per-minute capability. This technology was utilized in consumer and professional wide-format printers. Implemented watermark graphics rendering filter utilized by a dozen Windows XPS-based printer drivers. The core for this was implemented and shipped in our Host Print SDK product and utilized by all customers supporting Windows Vista and newer. Led effort to refactor and modernize Host Print SDK to abstract proprietary, third-party, and custom code to be delivered to OEM customers. Reliability and maintainability were paramount to be able to support our customers with a small team, so designing and implementing these changes reduced our support queue turnaround from weeks to days. Developed course curriculum, taught courses, and provided architectural guidance to over a dozen OEM customers and internal teams on usage and best practices of Host Print SDK development. ### Associate Software Engineer @ Marvell Semiconductor Jan 2007 – Jan 2010 | Aliso Viejo, CA Designed, built, and tested over two dozen custom printer drivers for OEMs leveraging in-house Host Print SDK for Windows and OS X. Developed training curriculum and maintained training materials used for OEM/partner Host Print SDK instruction and reference documentation. I am strong-believer in "hands-on" training and developed new course material with labs for students to gain experience and develop more confidence during training sessions. Main engineer handling build, release, and grep of software packages for customer distribution focusing on reliable releases. We leveraged custom scripts for building Visual Studio and Xcode components for validation and distribution bundling on Host Print SDK product. ### Quality Assurance Engineer @ Marvell Semiconductor Jan 2007 – Jan 2007 | Aliso Viejo, CA Built, validated, and signed over 30 printer drivers for submission to Windows Hardware Quality Lab(WHQL) and Apple Print Verification Test(APVT). Identify defects in Host Print SDK and investigated driver functionality issues resulting in reduced(50%) iterations of release candidate cycles over product lifetime. Mentored three University interns on test execution and QA validation procedures. ### Quality Assurance Engineer @ Zenographics Jan 2005 – Jan 2006 | Irvine, CA Generated and analyzed physical and digital print output for Host Print SDK graphics renderer error detection. Reduced redundant manual testing by 20% with development of modern test plans for black box, white box, integration, and functional tests for Host Print SDK. Reproduced and minimized customer reported issues to provide simplified and reproducible steps for internal developer investigation. ## Education ### Bachelor of Science - BS in Information and Computer Science UC Irvine ### Android Developer Nanodegree in Android Nanodegree Udacity ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/lamdbui --- Source: https://flows.cv/lambui JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/lambui/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-12
