# Laura Elizabeth Williams > Product Designer at ABP • Co-founder of UX Wizards Location: Cupertino, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/lauraelizabethwilliams I was literally born smiling. Or so I've been told. So it's no wonder that I value empathy, communication, and bringing joy through my design. I want to design experiences that feel human. No, you're not reading my Experience wrong. I currently work at multiple companies as a self-motivated and detail-oriented designer with over 13 years of experience. I thrive in collaborative environments and live for those “Ah-ha!” moments that come from solving tough challenges together. As the lead designer at Applied BioPhotonics, a biotech company focused on phototherapy, I've helped shape the visual and user experience of our FDA-cleared medical devices. Over the years, I’ve supported the launch of several international subsidiaries (e.g. LightMD, PetLight, LightDr, etc.) and contributed across the full design stack: UX, UI, product, web, visual, print, and instructional materials. What drives me most is the human side of design. I believe design should meet people where they are - with clarity, accessibility, and warmth. That belief led me to co-found UX Wizards, a Bay Area-based UX community that has grown to over 7,000 members. Our mission: to build a welcoming space where UX enthusiasts of all levels can connect, share knowledge, and grow together. I'm especially drawn to mission-driven teams that care deeply about the people they serve, and where design plays a key role in creating positive, real-world impact. ## Work Experience ### Product Designer @ Applied BioPhotonics, Ltd. Key achievements include: → Product Development & Usability: Designed interfaces and documentation for our Classic, Mark II™, and Infyniti™ PBM systems used for pain relief and musculoskeletal therapy. → Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinated design handoff with manufacturing, marketing, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure visual and functional consistency. → Regulatory Design Support: Developed visual assets, labeling systems, and layouts required for FDA submissions and CE marking. → International Coordination: Worked asynchronously across time zones to deliver user-facing assets and support localization efforts in Asia, Europe, and the US. ### Product Designer & Operations Manager @ PetLight Therapy Center Jan 2016 – Present | Cupertino, California, United States PetLight Therapy Center helps dogs walk again, naturally and gently, with safe and effective light therapy.
