Jan 2023 – Present ○ Created new modules to add, modify, and delete data using React, and Javascript ○ Utilized Java and SQL to create a new table and service to access, modify, and delete data. ○ Improve service functionality using Java and Javascript. Deployed related files to AWS. ○ Clearly test/deploy and layout testing/deployment steps for testers/devops ○ Collaborated with developers to design and deliver RBAC functionality to users accessing data. ○ Utilized Spring Batch to design and develop a utility to provide capability to ingest and update data in Elasticsearch. New APIs utilized Elasticsearch to do calculations/statistics so the data needed to be consistent in the DB and Elasticsearch. ○ In addition to the ingestion utility above we enhanced the program by creating a validation utility to compare the data from the source to the data in Elasticsearch to ensure there were no data loss in the process or to check if there’s new data before ingesting in the first place. ○ Using Microsoft Visio to create UML Sequence and class diagrams for designing new/improved functionality/operation. ○ Collaborated with developers to deliver improved API functionality using Java and Spring Boot. (Part of the effort to modernize old java APIs) ○ Keeping code base consistent and up to standard with developer/Gov requirements, testing, and security standards ### Lead Software Engineer @ BNY Mellon Jan 2020 – Jan 2023 ▪ Collaborated with business and technology teams to develop solutions for security threats and vulnerabilities. ▪ Automate the retrieval of data from various datastores (Elasticsearch, Kafka, etc.) ▪ Utilized Java to create a new Denodo base view which ensured data consistency. ▪Utilized Java to create a dataset in elastic search that stores exceptions that may occur during processing. Which provided transparency between the clients and the team, as well as reduce the time it takes to look for exceptions and/or replicate the issue ▪Rotational support monitoring Storm and Zookeper, as well as addressing support issues raised by customers. ▪Maintaining and improving the data, pipelines and processes. ▪Support continuous deployments as well as regression testing therefore reducing bugs discovered. ▪Engineer and develop around the needs of clients. E.g if they needed additional features to help them manage or manipulate their data a certain way ▪Maintained the code base above 80% coverage in unit tests and integration tests ▪Groomed stories, clearly defining the requirements, description, scope, as well as code changes necessary giving developers all they need to get their job done.
