# Lene R. > Designing Copilot at Microsoft Location: Seattle, Washington, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/lene ## Work Experience ### Senior Product Designer @ Microsoft Jan 2025 – Present | Redmond, Washington, United States ### Senior Design Manager @ Microsoft Jan 2023 – Jan 2025 | Redmond, Washington, United States ### Senior Design Manager @ Microsoft Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | Berlin, Germany ### Designer II @ Microsoft Jan 2020 – Jan 2022 | Berlin, Germany Currently working on creating new and innovative experiences as a part of the People team within FAST and the M365 design team. ### Designer II @ GitHub Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | Berlin, Germany During my brief transitional period at GitHub, I worked on assessing their web sign-up and onboarding experience. I provided a break-down of the different steps of the sign-up and first-run experience, where I focused on bringing attention to opportunity areas for UI redesign, accessibility improvements, UX flow changes, and updates to UX writing/copy. ### Designer II @ Microsoft Jan 2018 – Jan 2020 | Berlin, Berlin, Germany I started by working on Microsoft Sticky Notes and later moved over to work on Microsoft To Do. I contributed as an interaction designer, where I delivered end-to-end experiences where I followed features and designs throughout the design process and into production. Additionally, I solved ad hoc design needs, bugs, and accessibility issues. I worked primarily on UX/UI, design research and user testing, and representing design in feature teams and delivering specs for development, as well as providing a human centred approach to problem solving. I was the platform designer for Android mobile experiences focusing on designing and delivering features with a native look and feel. I got experience delivering designs suitable for several other platform's native languages, including Windows, iOS, MacOS, and web. My favourite part about this job was when I worked with feature team engineers and PMs on translating ideas into product. It's a lot of fun seeing something you've worked on rolling out into the public app! ### UX Design Intern @ Microsoft Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | Redmond, Washington, United States I interned half of the time as a part of Microsoft EDU (Learning Tools) and the second half as a part of OneNote. During my time at EDU, I worked on a mobile creative writing wizard for kids with learning differences together with other developer interns. As a part of the OneNote team, I created designs for chatbots experiences with teachers as the end user group. During my internship at Microsoft, I learned to collaborate closely with developers and PM, as well as providing assets for development. Additionally, I continued building upon and learning more about the semantics of conversational UI and chatbots. ### Interaction Design Intern @ IDEO Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | Chicago, Illinois, United States I worked on two projects throughout my internship. The first involved designing a new and highly complex medical equipment together with a large, multi-disciplinary team, consisting of industrial designers, architects, branding, interaction, developers, business designers, design leads, and more. My personal contribution was UI applied to an ID product, designing a CUI accompanied by animated visuals, animations for exhibition purpose, prototyping of exhibition pieces and digital experiences, and participating in user research (interviews, observation, etc.) as well as user testing. The second project involved assessing and improving the service design of the booking experience of a niche travel agency. My contribution was made during interviews, synthesis of research material and editing of research material (recordings and photographs), and website breakdown and UI suggestions. My time at IDEO has become one of the more important defining moments in my design development as I got to challenge myself and further develop my design understanding and competence in a short amount of time. ### Industrial Design Intern @ Idesign AB Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 | Stockholm, Stockholm County, Sweden ## Education ### Master's degree in Interaction Design Umeå Institute of Design Jan 2015 – Jan 2018 ### Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design Umeå Institute of Design Jan 2012 – Jan 2015 ### One-Year Study in Psychology UiT- The Arctic University of Norway Jan 2011 – Jan 2012 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/lene-rydningen --- Source: https://flows.cv/lene JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/lene/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-30
