# Len Yeh > Staff Product Designer at Fanatics Location: Brooklyn, New York, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/lenyeh I'm deeply curious about why things work the way they do and if they can work better. Always open to learn about problems and opportunities; added bonus if they happen to be in the fitness, sexual health, education, or financial realms. My experience spans across Fortune 500 companies, startups, and award-winning agencies like R/GA and AKQA. This background has gifted me the opportunities to produce and design websites, games, apps, interactive installations, and more. To support this monstrous expansion and scaling, I lead the design effort to digitally transform the end-to-end card production and manufacturing processes. By building a centralized ecosystem of desktop applications, we are replacing antiquated, slow, and error-prone processes still reliant on disjointed spreadsheets, word docs, and email threads. • Launched Product Builder (0 → 1), our core application for defining, composing, and managing all Card Product configuration data. • Optimized and refined a Customer Service function regarding Card Defect and Replacement request, resulting in a ~30% drop in physical mail and +30% increase in resolutions completed. • Initiated the efforts to define Design Ops surrounding crits, leveling, and hiring practices. ### Product Designer, Growth & Memberships @ Lyft Jan 2020 – Jan 2023 | New York City Metropolitan Area The Transit, Bikes & Scooters group is a key part of Lyft's multi-modal transportation vision. We provide public micromobility solutions for major metropolitan areas, serving hundreds of thousands of subscription members across the United States (not including the millions of short-term riders). We support efforts to make streets safer, create sustainable public spaces, and help communities gain more access to equitable transportation. I led design for Growth & Memberships initiatives through pandemic recovery, helping the NYC Citi Bike system expand to a record-breaking ~40 million rides in 2023, comparable to many subsidized public transit systems nationwide (e.g. Bay Area's BART, Philadelphia's SEPTA, Atlanta's MARTA). My team drove membership strategy and defined the core principles for a robust program to meet diverse rider needs and boost resilience against churn and weather seasonality. I spearheaded initiatives focused on: • Acquiring, engaging, and retaining members • Cultivating community and local identity • Identifying and reducing revenue leakage • Optimizing sales and upgrade flows • Launching new flagship products • Enhancing member value • Aligning membership strategy with overall Lyft business ### Senior UX Designer, New Business @ realtor.com Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 The digital real estate industry is experiencing massive shifts in power and innovation. As a seasoned veteran, realtor.com needed to reimagine its legacy design systems, profit models, and vision. I focused on product differentiation by helping craft our new service story, homebuyer touchpoints, communication strategies, and collaboration tools. I originally joined realtor.com as the design lead for New Business, building a New York City-specific homesearch and SeniorHousingNet (a subsidiary dedicated to senior living solutions). Key contributions and impact: ・Helped new homebuyers build confidence and real estate literacy by crafting new brand messaging and service story ・Led UX writing efforts to improve agent-referral conversion rates with A/B and multivariate testing methods ・Spearheaded workshops and product roadmaps for agent/buyer messaging tools, boosting meeting rates and CSAT ・Drove design effort for New York City market-specific homesearch features ・Increased readability, discoverability, and organic traffic from SEO by overhauling editorial site and redefining the research experience ### Product Designer @ Zearn Jan 2015 – Jan 2018 Zearn is an edtech startup building a digital math curriculum and school enterprise software. Lessons are free and web-based, supporting our vision to be accessible for all students. We were awarded with top ratings for content and usability by edreports.org in 2016. My top priority was to mentor our product team in a rapid design approach. We strategized to ideate, test, prototype, and collaborate with teachers (aptly called instructional designers). Key contributions and impact: ∙ Instituted prototyping with HTML/CSS-based tools (e.g. Tumult Hype) to build engaging motion and interactions to facilitate learning. ∙ Formalized usability testing procedures to improve research-informed design decisions for users. ∙ Implemented project reviews to foster team development and optimize project burn efficiency. ∙ Conceived, illustrated, and animated characters and environments for games that receive millions of plays per month. ### Senior UX Design Contractor (AKQA, Rokkan, Macy's) @ AKQA Jan 2013 – Jan 2015 Developed full-stack design skills as a contractor, collaborating with an eclectic group of mentors and creative partners. I was granted the opportunity to work on installations and early-stage VR, most notably with HBO (Game of Thrones) and New Era. Given the ephemeral nature of live events, our projects involved larger execution risks. Seeing real people play with final products outside controlled testing environments was invaluable.
