• Designed user-centric experiences for medical applications, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma.

• Led the design system documentation, refinement, and maintenance to speed up design and development.

Supported the development of two products, a fundus camera and a home monitoring device, from both the systems and the UX perspective. My tasks included:

• Conducted task analysis, user journey mapping, and UX research to design intuitive user workflows for medical interfaces.

• Designed interactive prototypes in Axure RP & Figma, iterating based on stakeholder and user feedback.

• Built mechanic prototypes with off the shelf components and 3D printed parts.

• Ensured compliance to international and USA standards for medical devices by conducting safety checks.

• Created and managed user stories and requirements, refining product development through Agile processes.

During my internship at Zeiss, I had the opportunity to work concurrently with two different teams: UX and Systems Engineering. My main contributions with the UX team were:

• Created interactive UI prototypes with AXURE RP9

• Ran studies to improve the information architecture of the Zeiss Wiki

• Wrote requirements for the software team to aid the implementation of the designed interfaces

• Worked with an international team to develop a prototype for a new device

• Analyzed circuit schematics and applied user-centered design to simplify a calibration software interface

• Performed verification and validation testing of medical devices

• Created and updated risk management and regulatory documentation
