At CirrusMD I co-led a research effort on using tools such as Mirth to integrate with other healthcare applications. Integrated our web application with Health Gorilla using their FHIR R4 APIs for easy data sharing to an HIE clearing house. Moved our developer documentation from a 3rd party hosted site to GitHub pages providing cost savings for the company. Participate in a hackathon integrating Slack to our application which allowed patients to talk to providers from an application of their choice. Worked with a small team doing patent research and building cases for potential patents for our application.
Languages/Frameworks/Tools: Ruby on Rails, Redis, JavaScript (Rhino) for Mirth, Java for Mirth, Postgres, AWS
Extra learning: Attend RubyConf 2021 to get more integrated with the Ruby community. Reading books such as Effective Testing with RSpec 3 and Practical Object-Oriented Design. Started to delve into the React world for front end development. As well as some venturing into Go.
