Independent project exploring critical mineral prospectivity in Alaska's Wrangellia Terrane. Using data-driven geostatistical processes to locate mafic/ultramafic Nickel mineralization. Focus on spatial data aggregation, spatial interpolation, bayesian prediction, uncertainty quantification. Project title: Data-Driven Prospectivity Mapping of Critical Mineral Deposits in Alaska’s Wrangellia Terrane.
Management of the Stanford Mineral Repository. Self-directed projects including curation of public displays and cataloguing existing collections. Regular hands-on experience with Stanford's robust collection of geological and mineralogical specimens. Frequent contact with Stanford Geological Sciences faculty.
In collaboration with coworkers, created an educational exhibit showcasing the repository's Canyon Diablo meteorite collection and relevant artifacts.
Paleoredox analysis on the Tonian Dolores Creek Formation and Mesoproterozoic Dolores Creek Formation of Yukon, Canada. Performed several sedimentary geochemical analyses including iron speciation, total organic carbon, and major/trace elemental abundance. Utilized random forest machine learning techniques to examine the effect of several predictor variables on trace metal abundance through the Meso-Neoproterozoic, and their implications on paleoredox conditions. Project results to be presented at the 2023 Geological Society of America Connects conference.
