I'm Lisa Hobbs, currently a software engineer at TravelJoy. We're bringing the joy back into travel planning by building a platform for travel agents to communicate with their clients, send them beautiful proposals, collect payments and payout their suppliers.
Implement Bootstrap 3 on a Ruby on Rails app, assisted with refactoring existing server-side code, documenting processes and standards and researching solutions to technical challenges.
The goal of this project is to improve the quality of care for these patients by providing access to room interfaces as well as the ability to connect to care providers and maintain a social network during the recovery period. Alternative interfaces are used to provide this access as well as emerging IT platforms and wireless devices that are compatible with the hospital environment. The initial prototype for this project was funded through grant 0607883 by the National Science Foundation. A pilot study at Denver Health Medical Center is currently in the initial stages of development after receiving COMIRB approval.
My current project is to design an application that will act as a mouse control for patients who have more extreme limitations in their upper extremities. Using facial detection, the cursor will move based on head movements. The program will also track the eyes and detect blinks, which will be used for selection.
