• Migrated Azure Firewall Portal Front-end code to Networking codebase by modifying shared files, functions and resources
• Tackled several bug fixes regarding the user-interface, ex: styling of images/text, pages not loading properly or from the correct source, and browser compatibility

             - Chats with designers/ project managers regarding mock-ups and intuitive flow

•  Redesigned database schema including BTree indexing fields to improve query times from 30 ms to 12 ms on average 
• Identified bottlenecks with New Relic and implemented a Redis Cache to improve throughput from 100 requests second (RPS) to 900 RPS with a < 200-millisecond latency 
• Horizontally scaled and deployed the full-service architecture using 4 AWS T2 micro-instances per component (built load balancer using Nginx) which improved query speeds from 12 ms to < 2 ms with 0% error rate across all microservices

Built reviews front-end microservice for a hospitality website

• Built search and pagination functionality using ReactJS, styled with CSS/ styled-components, and displayed reviews depending on requested home and search query
• Integrated microservice into a full-service architecture, that would display the appropriate reviews for the house requested by the client  
• Deployed Express JS reverse proxy server onto Elastic Beanstalk and incorporated multiple modules into the server for unified rendering 
• Restructured MySQL database schema and indexed fields for the purpose of improving query performance 
• Achieved 70% test coverage with test driven development (TDD) using Jest and Enzyme
