Striving to bridge the gap between resources and accessibility, I am Liz Rurangwa, a Full Stack
Engineer with a background in Biology. My journey has taken me from synthesizing oligonucleotides for CRISPR to conducting innovative research in Immunology, and now venturing into the
tech world as a software engineer. 🌐
In my previous roles, I have been part of teams working on critical projects ranging from Hepatitis
B research to manufacturing chemicals for COVID-19 tests. These experiences honed my
problem-solving skills and instilled in me the importance of trial and error - a crucial mindset in
coding as well.
My transition into technology was sparked by a desire to help community projects thrive online.
With this goal, I embarked on an immersive Software Engineering program at General Assembly
where I developed proficiency in key front-end technologies such as Node.js, HTML5, and
Embedded JavaScript (EJS).
I bring along:

🔹 Proficiency in Javascript frameworks like React.
🔹 Knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
🔹 A knack for problem-solving nurtured through my scientific background.
As an aspiring Junior Front-end Software Engineer, I am excited about leveraging these skills to
create user-friendly interfaces that enhance digital experiences while maintaining
high-performance standards.
Moreover, my unique blend of scientific knowledge and technical skills allows me to approach
problems with a unique perspective – understanding both the nitty-gritty details and the bigger
picture.
