A short history of me, so you can get to know me a little better:

I graduated with a B.S. in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2015, and immediately moved into an engineering consulting firm. I graduated to project manager and earned my Professional Engineering License in Virginia in 2020. It  was at that time that I realized Mining and Civil Engineering was not the career path I wanted to continue down, so I decided to flip to Software Engineering.

Since 2012, I have been teaching myself programming, software engineering principles, and UI/UX design outside of work with hobby projects and a few friends. I'm proficient in C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frontend frameworks (preferably React, but I have experience in Angular as well). I have a history of working in C++, PHP, and the Unity engine, and I've also dabbled in a few other technology stacks and languages. My passions lie in creating robust, dynamic, accessible, and performant frontend systems which empower users and provide the best experience possible.

Outside of work, I'm an avid rock climber, carpenter, video game enthusiast, and even manage to lead a fairly active social life. I'm always willing to learn something new and constantly exploring new hobbies to see what I can learn and apply from previous experiences.
