Working on integrating hardware and software components for a surgical robot.

Responsibilities include:

Assembly of robotic system while generating mechanical feedback for drawing revisions/ DCOs to address structural/ tolerance issues.

Perform software unit testing and code review for new software features in various domains such as VR and inverse kinematics control.

Write front-end and back-end software code for actuator control along with scripts for testing in C and python.

Electrical checkout including sensor calibration and signal processing.

Perform biomedical and human factors studies to gather data to drive system architecture.

Generate system and subsystem requirements based on user and business needs with compliance to medical device standards such as IEC 60601-1 and IEC 80601-2-77

Worked with both the Controls and Software teams to implement engine control laws, algorithms, and software on GE's Improved Turbine Engine Program (ITEP) for a new turboshaft engine. The T901 engine will fulfill requirements that include 50% more power and 25% better specific fuel consumption while reducing life cycle costs.

My responsibilities required me to complete the V-Model of the Software Development Life Cycle for various parts of the engines subsystems. I wrote safety-critical requirements, designed detailed control laws and algorithms, and performed system integration, test, and validation. This has enabled me to develop systems level thinking and skills on both engine and software design.

Additional responsibilities have included software integration to physical hardware, exposure to embedded system design, and low level software implementation.
