Ran ceremonies, ensured work was well scoped and along predictable timelines, coordinated with product and business directors, handled team member review cycles, wrote technical specs and documentation, managed production releases, and wrote code for the most complex features. ### Senior Software Engineer @ Mission Lane Jan 2019 – Jan 2023 | Richmond, Virginia Area Abstracted the business and its products from their need to move money, and delivered a 10x cost reduction in money transfers. This saved the company $2.5 million. Stood up the money movement platform at mission lane, written in kotlin with spring boot and a non-relational database, which coordinated various products’ payment requests across payment processors. Integrated with Stripe Debit and ACH APIs and Wells Fargo ACH APIs to move money to/from customers’ accounts. Transitioned our React/Javascript website from restful APIs to Apollo GraphQL. This reduced code complexity, and site latency by bundling queries to our backends. Website and Mobile development in Javascript, Typescript, React, and React Native. Project Lead in the migration of Mission Lane's credit card portfolio from FIS to TSYS. ### Software Engineer @ LendUp Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Richmond, Virginia Area Worked on the loans and credit cards backend for customer servicing initiatives in a Java monolith. Developed working knowledge of customer acquisitions, servicing, and payments, as they relate to financial products such as loans, credit cards, and debit cards. Contributed to breaking the monolith credit card servicing backend into microservices. Worked to extricate the two companies’ code bases from one another, and duplicate all necessary infrastructure. This enabled the newly formed Mission Lane to service its credit card customers separately from LendUp. ### Software Engineer @ Orbital ATK Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | Leesburg, VA Worked on legacy Data Analytics tool in Java and jsp, 20+ years old. Improved speed, adoption, and UX. Revamped their onboarding process by leading a thinktank to engage new grad engineers.
