# Louise Laub > Experience Designer Location: San Francisco, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/louiselaub I’m an experienced interactive designer from the Bay Area who has witnessed and participated in the evolution of the technology industry that has transformed the world of design. I trace my technology design origins to both an award-winning 6th grade art project and to my upbringing in Palo Alto, near to Xerox Parc, SRI and Stanford University – acknowledged birthplaces of technology. It was this beginning, and this environment, that started my journey in interaction design. These early experiences inspired me to study design at RISD, followed by positions with Animatrix, the first interactive design company, and later, Apple. My experiences with seminal technology industry companies – along with lessons learned through parenting, and a recent Masters Degree from CCA – impart my work with the appreciation for balancing the need to stabilize and innovate, and to find meaning in the work I create. I am confident that I can incorporate these principles into action and that I can impact positive change through design. ## Work Experience ### Principal Designer @ Carbon Five | A West Monroe Company Jan 2020 – Jan 2022 | San Francisco ### Senior UI Designer @ Apple Jan 1997 – Jan 2001 | Cupertino, CA Led concept/strategy, design and layout for www.apple.com and work received direct approval from CEO and VP of Product Marketing. WALT DISNEY PICTURES Conceptualized, designed and produced the launch of movies.com, the first movie site for Buena Vista/Hollywood Pictures, and all the web sites for that year’s movie slate – including 101 Dalmatians, which was the ‘most visited’ children's website in the world that year, because of the engaging games and activities created.
