-Worked on development and maintenance of large-scale web crawler system that automatically collects detailed product information (e.g., brand, category, description, image, and inventory, etc.) from publicly available websites.
-Expanded the crawler system to support collecting data from 10+ North American & European merchant partners, imported 200K+ products into our app for our worldwide user groups to explore and purchase.
-Designed the app’s product search feature using partial key match and implemented through ElasticSearch within the Dropwizard framework using Java.
-Developed a task queuing service using Redis to put the daily product data update crawler job into distributed task queue, significantly improved the efficiency and reliability of the product data refreshing pipeline.
