# Ly Dang > Senior Frontend Engineer | Thriving at the intersection of design, engineering, and AI Location: St Augustine, Florida, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/ly 👋 I’m a senior front-end engineer and aspiring UI architect with nearly a decade of experience crafting intuitive, high-performance interfaces. At OfficeSpace Software, I’ve been at the forefront of agentic development—pairing with AI tools like Cursor, GPT, and Copilot to transform how we build. In just 74 days, our 2-engineer team shipped a full asset management solution—on time, without cutting scope, and with room to deliver even more than planned. Agentic development didn’t just make us faster—it gave me space to focus on what truly matters: performance, design, and delivering seamless experiences across the stack. While my expertise lies in front-end, I’ve grown to understand and contribute across the full product flow—collaborating closely with back-end systems to bring features to life end-to-end. I thrive at the intersection of design, engineering, and now, AI. Outside of work, I’m a full-time mom of three, a first-generation Vietnamese-American, and a zone 9b gardener 🌱. Whether it’s building great software or growing tomatoes in the Florida heat, I bring curiosity, grit, and care to everything I do. Let’s connect—especially if you’re exploring AI-assisted development or passionate about building impactful products with focused, high-performing teams. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ Wealthbox Jan 2026 – Present | United States ### Senior Software Engineer @ OfficeSpace Software Jan 2022 – Jan 2026 Shipped our new Asset Management product from zero to GA in just 74 days—with only two engineers—by leaning into AI-first workflows. I planned the architecture, paired with GenAI tools like Cursor, Claude, and GPT, and stayed deeply hands-on from design system integration to end-to-end test coverage. We delivered fast without cutting corners—intuitive, performant, and well-tested from day one. Some of the ways I’ve helped scale our product and team: • Transitioned our front-end team to full-stack by owning Ruby on Rails and GraphQL work—eliminating bottlenecks and speeding up delivery. • Co-architected our internal React component library (Material UI-based), improving velocity and consistency across the UI. • Led our accessibility initiative, embedding WCAG standards and inclusive design into our product culture. • Automated the localization pipeline with a custom GitHub Action + GenAI integration, slashing time spent on translations. • Rebuilt our testing stack: resolved flaky Capybara/Jest tests and introduced Cypress + Cucumber for reliable, human-readable E2E coverage. • Mentored junior engineers and drove internal adoption of AI tools and workflows, making AI-first development both effective and approachable. ### QRadar Advisor for Watson Developer @ IBM Jan 2018 – Jan 2022 | Sandy Springs, Georgia, United States * Increased client satisfaction for Angular and Next.js threat intelligence apps by designing, implementing, and demoing new features every sprint. * Improved code reliability by 20% by increasing Enzyme unit test coverage from 70% to 90%. * Brought InVision wireframes to life by crafting visually stunning and responsive React applications, collaborating efficiently with the design team. ### Lift CLI Software Developer @ IBM Jan 2017 – Jan 2018 | Silicon Valley Lab - San Jose * Owned full-stack database provisioning feature integrated into IBM’s Cloud infrastructure with GoLang backend and React frontend. * Implemented a vanilla JS landing page for IBM Lift CLI from the designer’s PDF redlines. * Increased developer experience by integrating GitHub, Gradle, and Bluemix CF App into a Jenkins CI pipeline. * Analyzed consumer usage through segment instrumentation. * Received the Eminence & Excellence Award for exceptional technical skills and high-quality work aligned with business goals. ### DB2 for z/OS Support Team Internal Tools Development Intern @ IBM Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | Silicon Valley Lab - San Jose * Developed and deployed robust web applications utilizing Java, JSP, JSTL, XML, JavaScript, HTML, and Dojo. * Successfully deployed applications on the Apache Tomcat server with enhanced security features, including SSL and LDAP integration. * Designed and implemented innovative tools that significantly increased efficiency in daily level 2 activities. * Conducted weekly demonstrations of these tools to ensure high levels of consumer satisfaction. * Streamlined development processes by setting up and effectively utilizing Travis CI for automated Ant build success checks after each Git push. * Successfully mentored and provided constructive feedback to fellow interns during project demonstrations, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. ### ECM FVT Software QA Engineer Intern @ IBM Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | Silicon Valley Lab - San Jose * Opened a record number of defects in the first few months. * Guided other interns through knowledge transfers and daily interactions. * Created and maintained QA and developer VMs (Windows and Linux). * Implemented and maintained JUnit end-to-end test cases. ### Student Assistant @ SJSU CENTER OF ACCESSIBLE TECHNOLOGY Jan 2013 – Jan 2015 | San Jose - Developed a vast knowledge of accessible technology - Used ABBYY Finereader and other applications to convert documents to accessible formats - Discovered helpful methods of clear formatting ## Education ### Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science San José State University Jan 2013 – Jan 2017 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/dangly --- Source: https://flows.cv/ly JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/ly/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-22
