I was a Senior Product Designer in Allstate's Agile XP and Scrum development lab, where I built innovative experiences and technologies for thousands of customers and 15,000 claims team members. I managed and coached other product designers in front-end skills, user research and testing, and iterative design.
► I was promoted to "Senior Product Designer and Manager" from "Product Designer", managing and coaching 2 direct reports.
► During this role, I was a practice captain for Product Design within the XP lab's leadership. I trained new product managers in user research, user testing, and iterative design in a quarterly bootcamp. I assessed and coached XP teams and new product designers in lean, user-centered, and iterative design.
► I designed the Photo Intake product, a web app which leveraged WebRTC technology to stream the native camera on a web page. This product allows insurance customers to take and send photos of their damaged assets to their insurance company within their mobile browser. The product's MVP was released in 12 states in February 2018 after 4 months of development, and then to 48 states in March 2018.

Allstate is a Fortune 100 company and leader in the global insurance industry. I was a product designer in Allstate's Agile XP and Scrum development lab, where I focused on crafting the company's consumer-facing and enterprise-facing experiences through XP development, user research and testing, iterative design, and continuous delivery.
► We collaborated with Pivotal Labs to launch the Virtual Assist team. This product allows auto body shops and property mitigation vendors to video chat with insurance adjusters. I designed the consumer-facing iOS and Android apps, as well as the internal-facing desktop web app. The product's MVP was launched after 6 months; based on MVP results, we iterated on the design and features of the app through rapid prototyping and user testing. We increased its user base to 11,000 active users and reduced a 1-week process to 46 minutes. The product is used to handle more than 70% of Allstate's supplemental estimates nationwide.
► I led the design of 5 enterprise-facing products, 2 from a period of exploratory user research to an MVP release, using rapid prototyping, user testing, and iterative design. I paired extensively with the developers and product managers to review the front-end code and backlog health.
► During this role, I became a practice captain for Product Design within the XP lab's leadership. I assessed and coached XP teams in lean, user-centered, and iterative design. As well, I lead a product designer community of practice within the Northbrook location, holding bi-weekly design critiques and skill-shares.

I have built experiences for a variety of startup companies and organizations. I have been responsible for their end-to-end development, including defining the experience, brand look and feel, interaction, business case, front-end development, and product design. You can visit my work at lydiajiang.com.
► SilverScreen: I built and maintained a company website for this materials-engineering startup. I designed prototypes of the website using the Adobe Suite.
► Speakerbridge: I was responsible for building, launching, and maintaining a full stack web application. I created low-to-mid fidelity wireframes for the company in Axure and UI mockups in Adobe Photoshop. I designed a responsive front-end application with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and JQuery, and lead a cross-functional web development team to build a PHP-based content management system. Pairing with the product manager, I established functional business requirements and the product's MVP, enabling a successful launch.
► Atwood Learning: I built wireframes, prototypes, and graphics for this interactive accounting tutorial web app. I also directed educational media for the website, including recorded audio and video lessons.
