Foundry's Engineering Team is supported by 3 Engineering Team Leads each responsible for our subset of the larger engineering team. This responsibility includes taking care of our teams' day-to-day needs, providing support and guidance, and representing them within the greater leadership community of the company.
My Coding Responsibilities:
● 20-32 hrs of code contributions per week
● Be a force-multiplier for projects on a deadline
● Work on multiple large projects utilizing multiple integrations and languages such as: Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, Node, NestJS, NextJS, and more.
My Team Responsibilities:
● Provide direction and leadership to my engineers and team.
● Hold regular 1-on-1s with engineers on my team dedicated to career growth, mentorship and coaching, support, and direction.
● Coach, mentor, and check in with lead engineers to help ensure the ongoing success of my projects and teams.
● Stay up-to-date with all team projects, and provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship where appropriate. Acting as both the “last line of defense” and first responder.
● Stay current on best practices both in and outside of Foundry.
● Ensure my team’s projects are following best practices, and help avoid common pitfalls when possible.
● Participate in pre-sales conversations with clients, and pre-project meetings before projects kickoff.
● Help select, source, and align a project team as a project kicks off.
My Greater Engineering Team Responsibilities:
● Participate in engineering team leadership decisions.
● Assist the CTO in the hiring process, specifically in the interview process.
My Greater Foundry Responsibilities:
● Collaborate closely with the Production team and Director of Production to ensure projects are running smoothly and on time.
● Work with the management team to provide direction to inter-departmental needs.
● Contribute information and foster communication across departments.
