As one of the founding members of the UX engineering team, I support and maintain our design system based on Material UI (MUI). As Thrive's accessibility lead, I specialize in juggling accessibility (WCAG 2.0) requirements with usability and velocity. I ensure that our components meet the requirements of our users, as well as internationalization/localization (i18n/i10n) and UX best practices.

At Thrive, I was a frontend platform / design systems engineer who designed, refactored, documented, and deployed customer-facing and internal UI components using React Typescript and MUI. There, I

I completed the Technology Leadership Program (TLP) with two rotations: Praxis and Inventory Management Application. With Praxis, our internal starter app framework team, I worked to increase framework adoption and create documentation. With IMA, a supply chain tool team, I converted pages of our enterprise application from Angular to React.

I also worked on the Digital Creative Visualization team creating user interfaces for innovative web experiences in React Typescript. I work closely with our accessibility and design systems teams to deliver thoughtful componentry for our two key products: Room Planner and Virtual Beauty Try-on. Here, I shipped production code using a design system, addressed customer feedback and feature requests, and evaluated designs for feasibility. It was exciting to develop accessible and usable components for these new experiences!

Prepared and analyzed crystal trays for x-ray crystallography. In addition, I've helped carry out a variety of membrane protein purification protocols, especially those specific to aquaporins.

Outside of wet lab, I used a Python module called BioPython to write a script for calculating distances between water molecules with given PDB files.

I completed my senior capstone during my junior year. Over the course of the semester, I refined crystallography data to produce a 1.03 A model of the leupeptin-trypsin complex (the highest resolution currently available!).

I implemented a feature in AdWords using Angular Dart.
