Hi, I'm Maitri, a Computer Science and Engineering student with a Cognitive Science minor at UC Merced. I focus on HCI and AI+ML, building human-centered systems where intelligence is only valuable if it earns trust. I care about interfaces that reduce friction, models that behave reliably, and experiences that feel obvious to the user even when the tech is doing a lot underneath. I'm especially drawn to multimodal and accessible interaction, learning tools, and evaluation that proves something changed for real people.
