# Manav Agrawal > ML @ Glean | Engineering LLMs & Multi-Modal Foundational Models | MSCS @ GATech, BS CompE @ UIUC Location: San Francisco, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/manavagrawal Major Goals to achieve: 1. Able to train and develop multi-modal and foundational models especially those interested in audio and images. 2. Optimize the training budget by exploring efficient techniques such as Quantization, MoE, distributed training, etc. 3. Scalable and Generalizable over different tasks/domains Deep-dive: Working at the forefront of solving ML problems whether it is to generate Pareto-optimal vision transformers, generate an RAG pipeline for hotel recommender, or secure ML model serving systems; I am interested in making ML models more feasible, system-scalable and applying LLM to real-life applications. I have gained a deeper understanding of how LLMs, and other multi-modal foundational models work and have gone through the model development cycle of preparing the data, learning the architecture and the post-training processing. With various projects ranging from self-supervision, LLM fine-tuning, segmentation, or even NAS pipeline to generate fairer models; my three major goals are making large-scale models feasible, scalable and generalizable over different tasks and applications. As a background in ECE and strong interest in computing systems, my skills are widely applicable across various domains. As I have won a RISC-V microprocessor ISA competition locally, researched about distributed systems in a smart farm setting, and programmed CUDA kernels to parallelize graph operations. ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer (Machine Learning) @ Glean Jan 2025 – Present | Palo Alto, California, United States Search Quality ### Machine Learning Engineer @ Boson AI Jan 2024 – Jan 2024 | Santa Clara, California, United States Training LLMs and Multi-modal foundational for all 1.
