- Hired as a React Native developer but contributed to almost every critical project in 2022 in both the mobile apps and backend services
- Implemented React Navigation upgrades that included redesigning and refactoring our in app navigation system
- Contributed to a highly scalable modularized mobile application that was built using dependency injection and publisher/subscriber patterns and interfaces to allow inter-module communication
- Designed and implemented the mobile side of the new Artemis onboarding flow to be a reusable library that could be leveraged by any of Pear's mobile applications
- Ported over legacy monolith backend functionality out into a smaller core micro service to support contingency management in our mobile apps

I was on a three-person engineering team at Karlani that helped mature products in their
investment portfolio. I spent most of my time here at a web and mobile advertising agency
migrating existing self-managed SQL databases to AWS RDS instances and PHP-backed HTML
admin portals to modern React applications backed by Java APIs. This all ran on easily
deployable Docker containers hosted on AWS EC2 instances. The last year of employment
was spent getting a new parenting mobile app project off the ground. It was built with React
Native and backed by GraphQL APIs and AWS DynamoDB.
