Did you know React powers over 3 million websites in the US alone? It is hard to debate the impact of React and open-source software (fun fact: WordPress is also open-source).

As a software engineer, I love learning how the world works and contributing to shaping the future. I'm driven by questions like:

- What makes a great engineer?
- How can we build this?
- How can we make this better?
- How can we build something that impacts millions or billions of users?

Most recently, I have been working at Tixologi. In this ticketing startup, I have worked with an incredible team to build a product to take down the titans of ticketing. At Tixologi, I took on big projects like launching a new purchasing platform using React, TypeScript, and Cypress that drove 10x sales growth in just three months.

Before my time at Tixologi, I worked with an open-source accelerator to build an open-source tool named Khartes. Khartes strives to improve the developer experience and save time by monitoring Kubernetes clusters and automating YAML reconfiguration when necessary. I worked across the stack, including work to deliver core functionality by scraping Kubernetes Pod and Node metrics with Prometheus and Node.js.

Jan 2023 – Present
- Led delivery of a stable, scalable purchasing platform using TypeScript, saving two weeks of engineering time monthly and leading to 10x sales growth and 100+ new partners in the next 3 months

- Integrated Apple Pay with React into purchasing platform, which now accounts for 38% of total sales and reduced average checkout time by 27%, boosting customer conversion

- Onboarded and assumed ownership of the React Native Android & iOS mobile applications when contractors rolled off with one week of notice and delivered major mobile features used by 25+ partners

- Added Cypress E2E feature and regression tests integrated into the CI/CD process to create efficient high quality releases and minimize manual QA time

- Embedded 5+ iframes and scripts into client websites on calls with non-technical stakeholders to ensure a smooth onboarding and troubleshoot potential hurdles

- Created a desktop application with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Express.js that improves the developer experience and saves time by monitoring Kubernetes clusters and automating YAML reconfiguration when necessary

- Designed a server using Node.js and Express.js to minimize team ramp-up, take advantage of Express.js’ strong third party communication to asynchronously query Prometheus, and improve code maintainability by using controllers

- Initiated and customized Kubernetes implementation in Google Cloud Platform with the GKE service to orchestrate deployment, monitoring, and potential automatic scaling of containerized applications in order to test Khartes

- Containerized applications with Docker to create isolated environments that are quick to spin up, highly scalable and portable, and run across machines

- Built a PostgreSQL database to store relational information about users, sessions, sound boards, and sounds to easily add, update, and flexibly query the data while leveraging ACID compliance

- Developed a server with Express.js that handles multiple routes, verified authentication, and interacted with our database by taking advantage of the middleware design pattern to develop modular and scalable code, and easily pinpoint bugs

- Utilized CSS Framework Tailwind to increase the efficiency and speed of our styling without sacrificing customizability by using pre-made utility classes

### NBA Draft | Web app to utilize NBA stats to help your fantasy team @ Open Source

- Constructed stateful functional React components that pass data to stateless components with prop drilling to improve performance and enable the conditional display of player statistics retrieved from an API call 

- Implemented a BASE compliant, cloud-based NoSQL database and connected to the application with a 3rd party package to quickly save, read, and delete non-relational player data

- Configured ESLint taking advantage of the linter’s customizability and extensibility to improve code quality and consistency, and catch bugs earlier across the stack and in testing files
