However, App Microscope can be used by everyone to better understand risky behaviors of mobile apps. ### User Experience Designer @ Oracle Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 | San Francisco Bay Area UX design and UX writing on Oracles Energy and Water team formerly Opower utility products and services. I worked on a flagship white label B2C utility product getting tested with customers who used the service to start, stop and transfer service, and also manage billing and notification settings or preferences. I had to understand the back end B2B system ( I did not work on) and various different dependencies in order to solve for issues with design and writing while working closely with my UX teammates, product managers, developers and technical writers. Wrote text messages and alerts that needed to comply with legal. I supported a lead designer who’d been on the team 6 months longer than I had. Her and my manager worked to get my knowledge of the product and our design best practices to a place where I was working independently. ### Principal Experience Designer @ Mobiquity Inc. Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 Content design, writing, ux wireframes and product strategy for an AWS conference mobile app. I did content audits ( visual, ux/information architecture and writing) of other conference apps and of the previous AWS app versions. My vision was for the product to be more of a concierge product serving up custom content. Since the app incorporated 2 different data sets (both sets available in almost real time) We were able to use that data along with machine learning / Artificial Intelligence to get creative with customized experience deliverables for before, during and after conference experiences. We incorporated different APIs and SDKs that included beacon technology, way-finding and ride sharing, which I needed to understand how they all worked. FOMO and special access to live content was used as a tool to create more buzz and excitement during the live event. Conference goers were able to input preferences and interests so we served up the most relevant content. During the conference the AI would help attendees make schedule changes on the fly or alert them to new or surprise special events, or if there was a vacant seat at an event they were wait listed on. Please note I was not tasked with visual design on this project but I was complimented on my wireframes on the layout of the content as visual hierarchy was something that I kept in mind since I’m a traditionally trained visual designer too. ### Sr User Experience Designer @ T-Mobile Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | Seattle, Washington, United States Placed by Wongdoody at their client T-Mobile to assist with design of number porting portions of the Metro by T-Mobile mobile experience supporting a T-Mobile Metro Sr User Experience Designer. I was teamed up with the lead UX designer on the team and focused on the numbers porting portion of the product. I received training on accessibility standards which touched on WCAG best practices, including screen readers. I was invited to well over a dozen User Zoom sessions with our 2 lead researchers and I got to ask them questions. I was invited to numerous meetings with qualitative researchers also. I came back to my team with insights and heuristic observations based on best practice knowledge while contributing UX design and UX writing solutions. 50+ UX designers were on-boarded at one time for a huge push to bring the T-Mobile in store services to a digital self service product. Our team used Trello to track the progress of all the pieces. ### Sr User Experience Designer @ WONGDOODY Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | Los Angeles, California, United States Placed by Wongdoody at their client T-Mobile to assist with design of number porting portions of the Metro by T-Mobile mobile experience supporting a T-Mobile Metro Sr User Experience Designer. I was teamed up with the lead UX designer on the team and focused on the numbers porting portion of the product. Our team used Trello to track the progress of all the pieces. ### Content Strategy / UX & CX writing @ Renew Financial Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | San Francisco Bay Area I contributed product writing and content strategy needs by filling in gaps in the customer / user journey across many different touch points including our B2B and B2C applications. Collaborated with the Product Owner and Sr. UX Design Lead to gain industry knowledge while doing extensive research in the PACE loan space. I wrote the welcome packets for our newly approved loan applicants keeping in mind we had a user base with around a 10th - 12th grade reading comprehension and a fair amount of non native English speakers. I needed to write so the localization team could translate easily too. I wrote the sales scripts for our sales team after extensively reviewing lengthy excel documents which catalogued the types and frequency of customer service complaints, while solving for these issues. I reorganized the sales script and welcome packet content for brevity, sequences that matched and ease of understanding. I wrote content to replace the writing in the SDK we were supplied by a vendor. I also wrote marketing copy. I contributed UX Design solutions to our product. ### Design Manager, User Experience Designer @ PwC Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 I was working at PwC as Design Manager, UX Designer in the Innovation Lab, partnered with the Head of Design to lead Product, UX and CX initiatives on a complex Human Capital Management enterprise SaaS product with robust data visualizations. The solution enabled teams deep learning via tracking of management needs and resource utilization. It integrating with other HR and ATS software. There was an employee facing side of the portal too which tracked employee skills, interests and integrated with a learning platform made by another team. I was given a huge research document which was annotated with different stakeholders notes, I read it over to get familiar with the space. I was given a very large design system (developed by other teams) to help inspire our product. The design system was based on material design and included a variety of data visualizations. I tried to memorize the pieces so I knew what I had to use.  My manager and partner, the head of design, had started to document his ideas in a rough hand drawn wireframe format on a white board. I took photos of the white board drawings. My manager always let me record him talking about the product and his vision so I had created a large organized repository of photos, screen grabs and audio for my reference so I could look back on any part I needed. My job was to help fill in design, writing, content gaps and other missing pieces in the wireframes.  The wireframes had an indication of a type of data visualization needed but it was still undetermined how the visualization would work exactly, I helped determine this. There were indications of a search functionality but it was too complex to use an out of the box part from the design system so we modified it significantly. The user could then get more granular if they needed. We explored variations on bar charts, bubble charts, spider graphs, searching and sorting functionality, etc. Our solutions incorporated machine learning / Artificial Intelligence. ### User Experience Design / UI Design, UX Writing, Content Design, Copy editing & Research @ MPOWER Financing Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 Financing high-potential domestic & international students at US campuses Redesign of the student loan application process to facilitate ease of loan application for international students who want to get funds to study or complete their education in the US or Canada. Process was a series of downloadable pdf files that the student needed to print, fill in and upload, we changed that to an online process. I worked with the product owner at Mpower Financing to overhaul a significant portion of the loan application and funding process while keeping or slightly modifying some legacy sections. I re-styled the form design, added in small data visualizations, made type styles consistent and matching, we wrote new content, edited old content and reorganized information for clarity and brevity. We worked very closely with the legal team who was advising us. We came up with multiple variations to solve content issues meeting legal and compliance needs and expectations prior to sharing with other stakeholders. Wording was particularly nuanced and needed to be clear, concise and easy to read for a nonnative speaker. Our solutions were shared with different internal and external stakeholders who provided additional feedback to take into consideration or signed off on our edits to finalize. I marked up my comps with notes, questions and more potential edits which I delivered to the product owner, he sent back his annotations on them which I iterated on. The development team was easy to work with and we tried to be mindful of their resources. The product integrated different API / SDK to verify identity, funds, bank accounts, employment offers, school enrollment and various documents. Created a special progress bar that showed items getting approved at different points in time to indicate more clearly what was provided and then if it was validated and authorized or not. More in depth information on any blocker was in a part of the application called Application Status. ### User Experience Designer @ Globant Jan 2019 – Jan 2019 | San Francisco Bay Area UX / UI Design & Research Placed onsite at Globant’s client Quantcast to work on a mobile GDPR product while doing extensive research on global data protection trends and laws.
