VCP Software Architect

Worked FAA/NISC III contract to implement an ASOS hardware and software rehost. Responsible for requirement generation and implementation, verification testing, and documentation of sub-components in the new ASOS/WARS system.

WARS Software involves the following technologies: Linux, GTK+, C++, Windows, Visual C++/.NET, SQLite, RS-232, TCP/IP, OpenDDS

Responsible for creating embedded control systems from proposal through certification for flight worthiness and manufacturing/field support.

Recent programs include:

• AgustaWestland AW139 (environmental-control-system controller design and firmware, fan-motor controller firmware, fresh-air-valve controller firmware, Windows maintenance software).

• HondaJet HA420 (bleed-air-system/vapor-cycle-system controller firmware, compressor drive firmware)

• Embraer Phenom 100 (compressor drive firmware, Windows maintenance software)

Daily tasks include:

• schematic design

• PCB layout

• embedded programming (C and Assembly)

• Windows programming (Visual C++, LabVIEW, and Python)

• DO-178 documentation (planning, requirements, testing, conformity)
