As a software engineering leader, I have an extensive career at diverse, multibillion-dollar organizations. I have a track record of exceeding stakeholder expectations while delivering systems that drive user retention and bottom-line growth.
Here, I collaboratively developed and enhanced features for an e-commerce application with two million daily active users worldwide. Working remotely with a team of 10 developers, I facilitated multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced CI/CD environment. Additionally, I mentored software engineering interns and a developer on coding best practices, internal workflows, and development tools, such as Ruby.
One of my most significant wins here was meeting 100% stakeholder requirements while leading the integration of European payment methods with the checkout flow. This project significantly boosted conversions in international markets.
Similarly, I played a key role in conceptualizing and developing the highly popular "Markets" feature that significantly increased international sales over a span of three years. I architected key currency-related aspects of the feature and went on to create the next-gen “Markets Pro” feature.
Through a diligent and collaborative approach, I achieved the following:
•
Streamlined API code design by driving strategic negotiations with partners such as Global E, PayPal, and Stripe.
•
Earned recognition from 150 team members for developing an engaging work environment.
•
Conceptualized a user experience optimization proposal that visibly increased revenue.
To further a strategic partnership between VMware and Pivotal, I was handpicked to oversee the development of a Ruby-based platform. This platform deployed Cloud Foundry on top of various platforms, including AWS, GCP, Azure, vSphere, vCloud, and OpenStack. I developed the Beta version in partnership with a senior software engineer.
Due to the success of this Beta version, I won stakeholder buy-in to scale our team, building an office from the ground up to support the further development and optimization of the platform. To that end, I founded a 10-member software engineering team, later restructuring it into the core development, security, network, and release engineering divisions.
Here are a few of my notable achievements in this role:
•
Increased customer retention by building features for billing transparency and process automation.
•
Recognized for resolving a mission-critical bug, mitigating millions in losses for a client
