My work resulted in a significant increase in Daily Active Users (DAU), Notifications Opens and Engagement while reducing Dissatisfaction scores and Opt-outs.

• Worked on core machine learning models: Video Recommendation (Homepage), Ranking Notifications for engagement and Predicting opt-outs in Tensorflow.

• Led the redesign of the opt-out model. This improved the models’ performance by several folds in training and production.

• Designed and Implemented several data pipelines to enable new types of features for training and serving.

• Collaborated with the Responsible AI Research Team to launch a novel adversarial-learning based model. This improved our results for several marginalized groups.

Our team develops the platform to collect and report various quality of service metrics (e.g. Reliability, Performance, Failures etc). With our service, Windows Live Services can identify the cause of an outage, reliability drops etc anywhere in the pipeline.
