I was promoted to Lead Software Engineer at Buckeye Innovation in March of 2022, which entailed taking on a more official leadership role within the team. That included direct reports and more opportunities for hands-on mentoring, as well as an opportunity to join our management team and determine quarterly and yearly company goals. I split time between management responsibilities, new project estimation and RFP responses, and direct contribution to project work.
•Led an initiative to create a cross-functional discovery process for new projects, improving the quality of discovery artifacts, improving client satisfaction and reducing the rate of project planning mistakes
•Rescued an existing Laravel/Vue agency management portal when the client’s developer suddenly quit, working with our CEO to create a smooth transition of services. Added a suite of charts, tools and visualizations to provide insight into Agency value and market position, as well as Pusher integration.
•Led a team to create a from-scratch home loan management portal in Laravel/React and scaling AWS ECS cluster, integrating with Encompass and Clicksend
•Led the design and development of a custom Laravel/Inertia/React Learning Management System to provide financial education to underprivileged communities with a focus on course efficacy
