Our mission was to enhance our self-experimentation mobile platform to uncover insights on user behaviors and needs within the digital wellness sector. As the pod's lead engineer, I collaborated closely with the head of innovation (my former co-founder), UX designers, and a backend engineer, fulfilling the role of a technical project manager. Our technology stack included React Native (iOS), Cloud Firestore, other Firebase products, and Airtable for content management. Leveraging insights from LabLyfe, our research pivoted towards habit formation and self-reflections. We launched a new iOS app, "Routines by Care/of," right on the onset of the pandemic when interest in daily routines and habit tracking surged during lockdown, contributing to the app's immediate success. The tech stack was enhanced with cloud services such as Compute Engine, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions from Google Cloud Platform to generate weekly insights and recommendations, in addition to managing push notifications. By aggregating anonymous data, we were able to demonstrate the impact of experiments on others' health outcomes. ### Senior Mobile Engineer & Tech Lead @ Smart Alec Jan 2016 – Jan 2018 | New York, New York, United States Smart Alec, Inc. was an innovative ed-tech startup that provided an online marketplace for booking private tutoring sessions across various academic subjects and test preparation.
