Jan 2023 – Present | Remote
- Designed and built new patient search features in TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS (Lambda, OpenSearch, SQS) to reduce patient search time from up to 30 seconds down to 2 seconds (over 90% reduction).
- Led engineering org’s testing initiative by developing new testing infrastructure, educating developers on Jest and Cypress, and expanding test coverage to ~50% of the UI, and 40% of our services.
- Removed requirement for returning patients to use different emails in TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS RDS, reducing customer onboarding confusion, and preventing unnecessary PostgreSQL record growth by 25%.
- Led UI re-design of crossover estimate flow, enabling clients to calculate more accurate patient financial responsibilities using TypeScript and React, processing approximately $8M in estimates in Q4 2024.
- Led comprehensive redesign of TypeScript types, updating Redux state, and creating new TypeScript REST APIs to fix broken crossover flow, increasing developer productivity by over 50%.
- Led PostgreSQL DB migration which eliminated systemic inconsistencies in the data layer, enabling a scalable and predictable architecture that reduced bugs by 90% and accelerated feature development.

- Served AI generated churn risk data to merchants by building a new Python Flask REST API and merchant dashboard UI in JavaScript and Vue.js, projected to reduce customer churn by 20 - 30%.
- Enabled merchants to incorporate company’s at-risk customer data into their own workflows, via Python and Flask API, by serving a filtered CSV.
- Architected proposal for data visualization tools to display client’s business and financial metrics, designed to be the replacement for Looker, which would save the company $2M annually.

- Met the needs of 900+ customers across the company by collaborating closely with them to design and build a web application that managed team permissions and assets using JavaScript, React and Next.js.
- Saved up to 2 hours of customer time per deployment by connecting platform's JavaScript and Node.js REST API with customer team's change ticket service to alert of deployment restrictions to the CDN.
- Served loads between 300 to 500 RPS for all of PayPal’s products across the world, including web and mobile, by building a new CDN origin service with NGINX and rsync.
- Launched team's CDN deployment platform to 200+ customers by hosting 2 live training sessions, giving 1 technical talk, and recording 3 demo videos for documentation site.
