Automated manual title production workflows as part of Task Automation team as a backend engineer
* Integrated new features into complex services interfacing with third party system, external vendors, and data science endpoints.
* Designed, implemented, tested, and maintained automated generation of shipping labels to reduce manual errors in multiple workflows, integrating with UPS API
* Built new REST endpoints supporting interservice requests and interfacing with third party legacy system
* Created sequence diagrams based off of product requirements as part of technical requirements
* Identified and documented missing processes in the teamʼs workflow, including on-call expectations and updating downstream dependencies

Tech stack: Python and React with Django framework and MySQL.
* Created Payments data pipeline to ingest fraud-related data from external API. Designed schema and process to store data cleanly, enabling automated business rules to access data. Impact: saved 20-30% of usersʼ weekly overall time compared to previous manual process .
* Built, maintained and extended over a dozen internal administrative tools with Python backend and React frontend for human reviewers to identify and prevent credit card fraud, fake events, ticket scalping, and other content abuse, preventing millions of dollars of fraud.
* Built pipeline for automating upload of chargeback evidence to AWS s3 bucket with React; created Django endpoints to receive URLs, update the database, and connect to the payment processorʼs API. Impact: eliminated 90% of manual steps and saved many hours of time per week.
