The Holistic Crisis Plan (HCP) project is about designing digital tools to help youth in the Peel Region deal with crisis in their lives. This three-year project has focused on research and design development, testing in Peel, and the launch of the digital tool. The tool have developed collaboratively by youth in Peel who have experienced crisis, their support networks (friends, family, and community), service providers, partner organizations, and students and faculty from the Interaction Design and Development program at George Brown College. - Assisted group discussions with youth in the Peel Region under the supervision of George Brown College Faculty and mental health professionals. - Analysed survey data collected from primary research phase. - Designed and created personas, journey maps, and user flows to visualize the needs and experience of our primary users within the application. - Produced a short video interviewing with collaborators of this project explaining different aspects of the project. Collaborators in this project include camh PSSP (Provincial System Support Program), Systems Improvement through Service Collaboratives, and codesign. This is a web page that informs students about a variety of information and services that is provided by college such as technical support, ID issuance, free consultancy and so on. This research was a part of another, long-term project to explore all GBC touchpoints and discover user frictions and present solutions to improve student digital experience.
