                search result page to give user more options).
                 · Self-serve SA: in charge of the content system of self-serve SA.
                   1) Improved tools used to build the unified SA database that provides property specific sugges-
                   tions.
                   2) Implemented the property specific query filtering/blacklisting.
                   3) Improved the SA quality by using the dedup model to detect and remove the duplicate sug-
                   gestions.
                   4) Built and deployed US self-serve SA to Yahoo! Help, Sports, and News Search.
                 · Migration of the SA database globally: in charge of back-end database build process for the
                   upgrade from v2.0 to v2.5.
                   1) Optimized the database build process to be more time efficient.
                   2) Improved the suggestion coverage.
                   3) Removed zero-result/adult/spam queries to improve the suggestion quality.
                 · Asia market SAs:
                   1) Helped complete SA database migration for HK, KR, and TW markets.
                   2) Implemented the also try and auto completion features to multiple properties in these markets
                   based on self-serve SA platform.
                 · Time-sensitive SA back-end infrastructure:
                   1) Collaborating with Yahoo! research team, implemented the time-sensitive database build and
                   runtime blending model to offer near real-time suggestions updated.
                   2) Integrated this feature into US web search and US news vertical search.

· Aggregation and categorization on the data of Active World (Dilopma Project): I implemented
                   a system that can analyze data gathered from Active World to aggregate them according to
                   their relationship and re-categorize them in a more readable way. The system also provided an
                   interface for administrators to query data using certain metrics.
                 · Mash-up of information on a scientific subject: I implemented a web service that accepted users'
                   queries and submitted them to three data sources (Yahoo, Google and National Science Digital
                   Library) via http requests. Retrieved XML documents were combined into one XML mash-up
                   document using XSLT convention and displayed in the format of XHTML.
                 · Serveral course projects related to information retrieval and database management.
