Swarm Technology Solutions is a software development contractor based out of New York that specializes in hiring top-talent full-stack engineers to integrate with Fortune 500 clients' engineering departments. At Swarm, I am a Senior Software Engineer as well as an Engineering Team Lead.
As a Senior Software Engineer, I have been entrusted as a technical leader at some of the largest media publishers in the U.S.. I've worked on high-capacity engineering teams with the clients' engineers as well as other engineers at Swarm to build large-scale distributed applications and high-visibility products. I've also led a few of these teams to ensure business requirements are met with a high degree of productivity.
As a Software Engineering Team Lead, my responsibilities include (but aren't limited to) leading internal engineering teams, hosting regular alignment meetings to gather engineering updates and communicate feedback and goals from high-value clients, and facilitating 1-on-1 meetings with my engineers in order to create a cohesive team environment and identify personal goals to maximize individual performance and workplace comfortability.

For my personal startup, I single-handedly built a revolutionary cloud password management platform with an emphasis on secure credential sharing from the ground up which involved using various technologies for a full-stack website, multiple API servers, and a cross-browser WebExtension.
The front-end website uses React, CSS-in-JS (Styled Components), and Webpack.
The back-end services were written in Node/TypeScript. Stripe payment processing was integrated to manage subscriptions for customers. Services were containerized using their own Docker images and hosted using Google App Engine on the Google Cloud Platform. AES-256 encryption keys provided by Google Key Management Service are used to securely encrypt/decrypt all sensitive user information. All data was stored in Google Cloud Firestore (formerly Google Datastore), while some necessary information is replicated into Elasticsearch for indexing and searching. A separate Redis server is used for light caching and other temporary stateful functionality.
The WebExtension that runs in the browsers also uses Webpack and has its own front-end using React and Styled Components. It communicates with the API servers and also takes advantage of real-time messaging using PubNub, to ensure that local data is always synced.
A large part of this journey required me to write a public man-in-the-middle (MITM) proxy used to decrypt requests, inject/modify certain headers or body information, and reissue the request to the original recipient.
