I previously was a Senior Software Engineer on Mapbox's Geodata team, building the geospatial datasets that underlie our products.

Before that, I worked at Bitwise Asset Management, a financial institution backed by Elad Gil, Avichal Garg, Khosla Ventures, and General Catalyst (among others). At Bitwise, I built our index infrastructure and led engineering for our research team.

Before that, I was a member of Strava's Infrastructure team, where I shipped products to millions of athletes with Go, Scala, and Ruby. 

Before that, I had the opportunity to work on Strava's mobile team, delivering apps for iOS.

I've shipped products with Python, Go, Scala, C/C++, and AWS.

I lead a team of Geo SRE engineers reliably launching AI products on Google Maps for more than two billion users around the world.

### Senior Software Engineer, Search @ Mapbox
Jan 2020 – Jan 2021
I was a tech lead for the team building the geospatial datasets that power Mapbox Search and Maps. 

As part of my role I:
- Solved "big data" engineering problems
- Helped define the strategy and long-term vision of our team.
- On-boarded and mentored junior engineers, including new grads.
- Interacted with customers and integrated their feedback into our products.
- Built, deployed, and monitored data infrastructure that our team was on on-call for.

### Senior Software Engineer @ Bitwise Asset Management
Jan 2018 – Jan 2020 | San Francisco Bay Area
I joined Bitwise as the third employee.

Bitwise is an asset manager (+$1B AUM) backed by Elad Gil, Naval Ravikant, Khosla Ventures, General Catalyst, Craft Ventures, and several others. We launched the first crypto index fund (ticker: BITW) in 2017.

I was an early member of Strava's infrastructure team (and before that, the company's first intern!). As part of the team, learned about scaling large services with the help of some great folks and a few trials by fire. I was also promoted to Senior Software Engineer.

### Software Engineer Intern @ Strava

As Strava's first software engineer intern, I worked on several projects in Ruby:
- Created a feature to let users correct anomalies in their activity data
- Expanded the social features of Strava by building a tagging and mentioning feature.
- Built tooling to visualize data received as part of Strava's 'real-time segments' feature.
