* Certified by the United States Navy and Department of Energy as a Nuclear Reactor Operator/Shutdown Reactor Operator (Reactor Controls) on a Westinghouse A4W pressurized water nuclear reactor, amongst other qualifications; entrusted with the operation and maintenance of all analog and digital reactor instrumentation and controls equipment used to monitor, directly control, and safeguard the reactor core
* Electronics Technician responsible for the supervision and completion of preventive and corrective maintenance on all reactor instrumentation and controls equipment under time and material constraints; performed diagnostics and component level failure analysis with various multi-meters and signal generators; completed all necessary repairs and retests on malfunctioning equipment; determined and approved lockout tag-outs to electrically isolate equipment for maintenance utilizing electrical schematics; aligned, calibrated, and tested high accuracy detectors and instrumentation; tested, inspected, and cleaned electrical and electronic equipment, following all electrical safety precautions
