•Worked in a small, agile team of front end engineers to build and maintain key features for a high-traffic, enterprise website, including rebuilding the home page and main search bars.
•Built a hospital search engine using Elasticsearch to implement a national hospital review-gathering initiative, encouraging users to search for any hospital they visited in the U.S. and rate their experience.
•Led mobile-first initiative to teach teammates/ rewrite existing CSS to always be performant on mobile devices, significantly raising Lighthouse Audit mobile speed scores on key site pages.
•Onboarded and mentored three interns, helping them acclimate to company design and workflow conventions, and offering code review and help as needed.
•Led several front end security initiatives to help protect web forms, inputs, and other potential site vulnerabilities from spam bots and bad actors, relating to OWASP security risks.
•Built a complete automated UX testing suite to identify and catch any front end bugs in integral website flows before deploys, to raise overall team deploy-confidence.
•Gave a definitive presentation on CSS Grid to the engineering team, outlining all of the benefits this technology would have on improving the company product, and suggested ways the company could leverage this technology.
