I went from a novice to a major team contributor using the many technologies of the traditional web development stack. I helped design and implement a completely custom UI/UX and spearheaded development of the mobile application. My time at Draftpot highlights my ability to rapidly learn and wield new information and skills. Adaptability is an cross-disciplinary asset that I have spent a great deal of time cultivating. ### Laboratory Research Assistant @ Columbia University in the City of New York Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 I worked extensively with engineered cartilage examining the effects of various chondrogenic media on the growth of chondrocytes and the development of their intracellular matrix when suspended in an agarose gel. Specifically analyzing the growth of the cartilage constructs in insulin alone, ITS, and ITS+. Biochemical assays for DNA, glycosaminoglycan, and collagen content, and mechanical tests for young’s and dynamic moduli were performed on the engineered tissue to analyze its similarity to native tissue. Working in a research laboratory allowed me to hone various research techniques and skills. I gained an appreciation for the hard work and discipline required in cell and tissue engineering. ### Medical Assistant @ Riverside Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine NYC Jan 2013 – Jan 2013 | New York, New York I aided in management of insurance claims and spent a significant amount of time with insurance companies attempting to reconcile unpaid claims. I also worked with the office manager maintaining records and organizing surgical billing documents.
