The company offers database management and reporting services and my role is a wide-ranging one, dealing with everything from managing the SQL Server database to building and maintaining the database website and Qlikview reporting suite. The technologies I work with include ColdFusion, a commercial rapid web application development platform not dissimilar to NodeJS, including its own web server and scripting language CFML/CFScript, SQL and SQL Server and the Qlikview BI environment. All of these require the ability to write, test and deploy code as well as research new avenues and technologies to incorporate into our product.
