Project: Migrate Marketing Website to a CMS
When I joined the marketing website team there were four other frontend developers, one
person from product, and one manager/contributor. The website was using Ruby/Backbone/
JQuery/NextJs and for marketing to make changes they needed use the engineering process
of creating, prioritizing, and refining tickets. Over the course of seven months we migrated the
entire site to NextJs and moved all of the content to a CMS. This gave marketing almost
complete control over the website and all of the engineers were moved onto other projects.
Project: Establish Engineering Process
When I joined the enterprise team I found that they had almost zero process for how work got
done. Features and bugs could not be delivered on a predictable timeline. The business
wanted us to move to a scrum/agile process. Over the next year I worked with the engineers,
product, design, and project management to determine each group's needs in the new
process. From there we established a workflow which enabled delivering quality code to be
released by the business. Our team was then used as an example by the business to the other
enterprise team.
