# Michael Vellequette > Software engineer solving customers' problems Location: Denver, Colorado, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/michaelvellequette Web Developer with a strong understanding of front-end technologies including React, Redux, and Typescript. Experience with NodeJs and DevOps ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ EasyPost Jan 2022 – Jan 2025 | Remote Project: Migrate Marketing Website to a CMS When I joined the marketing website team there were four other frontend developers, one person from product, and one manager/contributor. The website was using Ruby/Backbone/ JQuery/NextJs and for marketing to make changes they needed use the engineering process of creating, prioritizing, and refining tickets. Over the course of seven months we migrated the entire site to NextJs and moved all of the content to a CMS. This gave marketing almost complete control over the website and all of the engineers were moved onto other projects. Project: Establish Engineering Process When I joined the enterprise team I found that they had almost zero process for how work got done. Features and bugs could not be delivered on a predictable timeline. The business wanted us to move to a scrum/agile process. Over the next year I worked with the engineers, product, design, and project management to determine each group's needs in the new process. From there we established a workflow which enabled delivering quality code to be released by the business. Our team was then used as an example by the business to the other enterprise team. ### Senior Frontend Developer @ Automox Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | Denver, Colorado, United States Project: Improve Speed of Feature Delivery I joined the frontend development team during a large hiring push to improve the frontend. It was a monolithic structure which had not been maintained well, so feature development had slowed to a crawl. We decided to separate parts of the codebase into a monorepo with a goal to allow more experimentation among the teams while enabling progress on feature work. By the time I left, we were delivering features at a more predictable pace. ### Senior Frontend Engineer @ Dental Intelligence Jan 2019 – Jan 2021 | Denver, CO • Drove the direction of the architecture of the front end code • Helped establish better process around building new features • Established best coding practices and tooling to standardize code and code reviews ### Software Engineer @ LogRhythm Jan 2016 – Jan 2018 • Created a configuration manager for distributed services using Hashicorp's consul and electron • Helped create a generic infrastructure for building installers and allowing developers to quickly go from source code to installer • Won 2 company hackathons • Implemented 3 hackathon projects for use in production ### Associate Software Engineer @ LogRhythm Jan 2014 – Jan 2016 | 4780 Pearl East Circle, Boulder, CO 80301 • Adding features to WebUI • Co-created a CSS framework to be used company wide on all past and future web projects ### Terminal Assistant @ Boston University Jan 2011 – Jan 2014 | 730 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA, 02215 Oversee the undergraduate computer lab. ### Online Learning Exchange Development Intern @ Pearson Learning Solutions Jan 2013 – Jan 2013 Worked on updating the regression tests which were run on the website.
