# Michelle F. > Senior Frontend Developer Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/michellef Experienced Senior Frontend Dev and Engineering Manager. I specialize in frontend cleanup and best practices. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ Percipio Health Jan 2024 – Present ### Senior Frontend Developer @ Aware Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 Back to doing what I love most: everything Frontend. Tackled architectural tech debt on the daily and brought more standards to Aware's Frontend for all around ease of use and speed! ### Engineering Manager @ Aware Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 This was a leadership position, with a focus on frontend technologies. I helped to shape new standards for Aware's frontend code base, and implemented sprints and Agile methodology for a team of 4 people. This significantly cut our time to production: we went from 6+ months per release, to releasing weekly! ### Senior Software Engineer @ Olive Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 This was a subsection within Olive called Olive Helps - their first ever public software development kit (SDK)! In this position I created our developer hub - a community space for documentation and training. I also worked on the kit itself using TypeScript and Go. ### Director Of Engineering @ Olive Jan 2019 – Jan 2021 | Columbus, Ohio Area This was a leadership position. I provided guidance to software teams (2 -3 teams, roughly 15-20 people) and spent my time dreaming up new enhancements and technologies to push healthcare forward. My teams focused on enriching Olive's Robotic Process Automation (RPA) toolset and finding new analytic insights for customers. ### Team Captain @ Olive Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 | Columbus, Ohio Area This was a leadership position, with a focus on frontend technologies. I was the primary architect for Mimic, Olive's Robotic Process Automation (RPA) editor. I led a team of 4 - 6 engineers who focused on enhancing the overall user experience and adding RPA functionality. Additionally I helped start the company's React component library and "UI guild". The guild focuses primarily on keeping our code practices up to date for Electron, ReactJS, JavaScript, Webpack, and "Trail" (our in-house application state manager, based off Redux). ### Software Engineer @ Olive Jan 2015 – Jan 2017 | Columbus, Ohio Area I joined Olive (originally CrossChx) to focus on improving healthcare systems. This was a full-stack developer position where the majority of applications were built with Spring Boot (a Java framework) and Angular (which was still JavaScript at the time). Notable projects that I helped to maintain and create include: • Quad: A web based launchpad that allowed customers to launch our various applications. • Sequence: A web based application that followed a patient's journey by tracking where and when they checked into various departments. • Queue: An electron application that helped registrars sign in patients and confirm their identities through fingerprint analysis. • Connect for Care Managers: A web based application that helped care managers communicate about their patients and track various forms. ### Research Engineer @ Battelle Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 | Columbus, Ohio Area This was a contracted position for Battelle's CBRNE and hazard modeling groups. My work focused on creating an interface for other researchers to manage various models. I used Javascript, Bootstrap, Knockout, Java and PostgreSQL to create a simple web experience that allowed the researchers to export, manipulate, and view the related data. I also helped maintain a few of Battelle's other websites. ### Research Assistant @ Miami University Jan 2013 – Jan 2014 | Oxford, Ohio My research was centered around the substitution rates of different genomic regions to identify asymmetric gene evolution. My analysis investigated whether the strand symmetry characterization of a region could change over time. I developed a C++/Python tool to easily find these rates and characterizations. Additionally, I redesigned an algorithm for finding palindromes (inverted repeats) in DNA. I greatly reduced the time and memory complexity by removing extra logic within the code. ### Teaching and Research Assistant @ Miami University Jan 2012 – Jan 2012 | Oxford, Ohio I graded assignments and created class notes for algorithms, bioinformatics, and Python courses. I also offered tutoring for students. As a research assistant, I studied FM-index data structures to enhance a tool for clustering expressed sequence tags. ## Education ### Master's Degree in Computer Science Miami University Jan 2013 – Jan 2014 ### Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics Miami University Jan 2009 – Jan 2012 ### High School Hilliard Darby High School Jan 2005 – Jan 2009 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/flowermm13 --- Source: https://flows.cv/michellef JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/michellef/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-22
