Determined risk, prevalence and mechanism of injury for GoPro’s ecosystem of cameras, mounts and accessories during a wide range of foreseeable use cases. Developed biomechanically relevant test methods for evaluating the injury risk of body mounted cameras and accessories. Ensured safety minded decisions were at the forefront of discussions in all areas of business, ranging from upstream Product Concept Innovation to consumer facing Marketing content. As technical chairperson for the ASTM Helmet Mounted Accessories committee, organized and led a 12 person workgroup representing multiple companies and industries to develop the ASTM safety standard. - Developed and streamlined the process by which customer feedback involving safety or injury claims was received, researched, resolved and documented.

Developed and publicly launched the new Consumer Reports’ crash test protocol and rating system for evaluating child safety restraints. Analyzed test data, and addressed anomalies with manufacturers, government agencies and legal counsel. Collaborated with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and SafeKids USA on future rule making and research efforts for automotive and child safety. Advisory board member for the Center for Child Injury Prevention Studies (CCHiPS), mentored PhD students and Principle Investigators on research projects related to pediatric injury in vehicle crashes, ad hoc expert reviewer for Traffic Injury Prevention journal articles.

In accordance with ISO 13485, led the resolution of quality issues related to non-conforming products, cell shutdowns, customer complaints and regulatory actions. Performed failure analyses on orthopedic implants and surgical instruments returned from the field leading to the identification of root cause, implementation of Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs), proper follow up and technical documentation
