Hi, I’m Mick van Vliet. I work at the intersection of UX/UI and front-end engineering. I’m strongest in service and self-service journeys where status, expectations, and next steps must be crystal clear, especially when there’s back-office complexity behind the scenes.

Key Achievements & Responsibilities:
Led UX/UI across service journeys (damage reporting, reimbursements, contract and support flows) with a focus on clear status communication and selfservice
Redesigned damage reporting so users can review a case and upload missing documents afterwards, reducing back and forth with support
Designed an in flow support side panel pattern (journey specific FAQs plus escalation options) to help users without breaking the primary task
Ran moderated usability tests with interactive prototypes, synthesized insights, and translated them into patterns and build ready specs
Delivered mobile first UX for Vue based apps shipped to iOS and Android via Ionic, aligned with implementation constraints
Supported the LeasePlan and ALD to Ayvens transition by applying updated brand guidelines and aligning UI patterns across the platform
Introduced design tokens for multibrand theming and improved Figma structure and collaboration workflows
