### Staff Mobile Engineer @ Courier
Jan 2022 – Present | San Francisco / Remote
Designed and engineered 4 SDKs for managing push notification tokens, an in-app notification center and management for a user's notification preferences. Sounds super nerdy, but this is a problem every mobile app encounters. I joined this company because I've had this problem in the past at every place I've worked at. I probably have too much knowledge about Apple Push Notifications and Firebase Cloud Messaging at this point.

Managed a small team during this time. Also did various product designs (showing what code and UI would look like) and did the occasional NodeJS backend commit.

### Head of Product & Staff Engineer @ Choice by KT
Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | Remote
Lead 2 teams that built a retirement account app for stocks and crypto. 15,000+ users (keep in mind.. this is a retirement account app). As of writing this, the Choice managed nearly $20 billion in retirement assets.

App was entirely written in Flutter for iOS, Android, and Web.

Created apps that were used by millions of users on iOS and Android! Some of our amazing clients were: Lorel, Hanzo Shear Company, YouVersion, and several smaller companies. This role involved lots of custom UX engineering, the occasional design, leading junior teammates, and working with clients to solve the problems the needed within quality constraints.

Designed and developed the front-end for an app that organizes hundreds of millions of analytic events and records, collaborated with clients to balance business and design goals for various webapps, became very comfortable with AngularJS.

Redesigned iOS and Android apps with insight from user metrics and user testing, rewrote the entire iOS app in Swift, helped grow the user base to 600,000+, and built a new community for hunters and fishermen! Worked with Build Variants and Flavors, Realm, Alamofire, Retrofit, Mapbox and more.
